Patanjali joins ZED in the journey towards Quality Manufacturing!

ZED & PATANJALI – exploring way forward

The ZED team connected with the management of Patanjali (Yogrishi Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna) in order to explore how both QCI & Patanjali can leverage its strengths to achieve Hon’ble Prime Minister’s dream of making our MSMEs globally competitive through the adoption of Zero Defect Zero Effect practices.

Patanjali has committed to embark on the ZED journey by adopting the Zero Defect Zero Effect Maturity Assessment Model and simultaneously showing the ZED way to its supply chain. The scope of activities is proposed to be focused on promoting ZED in the supply chain of Patanjali and developing an ecosystem to sensitize all the MSMEs on the ZED model.

Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Maturity Assessment Model is an integrated and holistic Certification System, which can account for quality, productivity, energy efficiency, pollution mitigation, financial status, human resource and technological depth including design and IPR both in product and process of manufacturing. ZED will assess, rate and handhold Indian Industry based on Quality & Environment parameters to enhance their global competitiveness, thereby increasing the contribution of the manufacturing sector to GDP, enhancing employment and assisting the Make-in-India program.
